Leg Pain during Running or Marathon Training

As a Qualified Sports Therapist,  I have a regular following of runners and I’ve noticed that It takes a particular discipline to be a serious runner.  I always admire their determination.

My function is maintenance – helping the runner to keep the training schedule going and helping them to overcome the various injuries and conditions that might prevent them from completing their event.  Between us, my client and myself usually manage to achieve that goal, which gives us both great pleasure!

One thing I would advise though.  Never consistently run through a pain barrier.  If something hurts it’s warning you of a problem that needs fixing.  One session with me could make the difference between achieving a personal best time, or even being able to compete at all!
